After the aid of Allāh we need your help in raising £130K and securing a permanent building for our masjid which will continue to serve and aid the community for years to come Inshā’Allāh.

Securing a Masjid Upon the Sunnah
All praise is due to Allāh (subḥānahu wa taʿālā).
We at Markaz Salafi Reading have been granted the opportunity to purchase the building in which we are currently based, securing it as a permanent Masjid in Reading, Berkshire.
At present, there are only two Masājid upon the Sunnah in South East England and the Thames Valley region:

We urge both the local and wider community to aid us in this noble cause.
Allāh, The Most High said:
مَّن ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً
((Who is it that would loan unto Allāh a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?)) (Al-Baqarah: 245)
The Call to the Sunnah in Reading Berkshire
The call to the Sunnah upon the way of the righteous predecessors has been established in the town of Reading since the early 1990s.
During this time, after the aid of Allāh, and then through the efforts of the brothers, 100s of men and women have accepted Islām and continue to do so, and all praise is for Allāh. As recently as this month (December 2025), two individuals have embraced Islām.
And since 2010, we have been blessed with renting a building from which we have continued our call, in which the five daily prayers and the Jumuʿah prayer are established, alongside weekly classes and seminars propagating Islām and the Sunnah to men, women, and children.
Allāh the most high said:
قُلْ إِنَّ رَبِّى يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُۥ وَمَآ أَنفَقْتُم مِّن شَىْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُۥ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ
Our Current Services
- The five daily prayers and the Jumuʿah prayer
- Three weekly classes for men and women
- A specific monthly class dedicated to sisters
- Weekly Quran & Islamic studies class for children
- Community social events & dinners
- A monthly dawah table in the town centre
- Nikah (marriage) service
The Messenger of Allāh(ﷺ) said:
((The fitnah [trial] of a man is in his family and his wealth and his neighbour, it is expiated by way of the prayer and the fasting and the giving of charity.)) Al-Bukhari (no.1895)
The Opportunity Before Us
We need your help in raising £130,000 and securing a permanent building for our Masjid, which will continue to serve and benefit the community for years to come, inshā’ Allāh.
We have to raise £130,000 over the next 12 months by December 2026. Our aim is to raise 50% of the target (£65,000) by the end of Ramaḍān (March 2026) in order to secure the building.
The Messenger of Allāh(ﷺ) said:
“Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire”.
[At-Tirmidhī]
He (ﷺ) also stated:
“…Charity never decreased anything from wealth.” Muslim (no.6535)
